1929: Toa Electric Bulb Manufactory was inaugurated as a manufacturing
entity specialized in production of various specialty electric lamps in small
quantity.
1946: Reorganized and incorporated under the current name of Fuji Electric Lamp
Industrial Co., Ltd. and recognized worldwide as a pioneer of light bulbs
for projection applications.
1970: Succeeded in commercial production
of halogen lamps for optical, SSTV and fishing applications.
1975:
Constructed a new factory in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture in order to maximize
its production performance.
1985: Succeeded in commercial production
of metal halide lamps for fishing applications.
1995: Built a
new larger plant in the adjacent area of the Nasu factory to integrate all
the production activities in a single location and to accomplish centralized
production control in order to meet the increasingly diversified customer's
needs.
2004: Succeeded in commercial production of ceramic metal halide
lamps for SSTV applications.
